Cobar Shire Council have received funding to provide the Cobar community with an early intervention program. Council have engaged with key stakeholders within Cobar to outline and address the most pressing needs within our community and where to focus our priority. 

Council (along with key stakeholders) have identified the need for Clinical Child Phycology, including initial assessment, follow up support for both parents, teachers and children. 

This service will fill a service gap in Cobar available to all families. There is a lack of early intervention services and it’s a major factor in why many families often don’t live in Cobar. Offering this type of program to the community will make livability for families in Cobar more attractive.
