The Cobar Rifle Club hold all year round long range target shoots from 300yd to 900yd for male and female senior and junior competitors. Open and aperture sights are allowed as well as telescopic sights in the F Class Grade. To be eligible to participate in shooting activities you must prossess a Firearms Licence. To be eligible you must have not been refused or probhibted from holding a firearms licence or permit or had a firearms licence or permit suspended cancelled or revoked; are currently subject to a Good Behaviour Bond or Interim Apprehended Violence Order; been the subject of a Firearms Prohibition Order; suffering from any mental illness or other disorder that may prevent you from using a firearm safely; been convicted within the last 10 years of an offence involving firearms or weapons prohibited drugs robbery violence or terrorism or an offence of a sexual nature; or within the last 10 years been subject of a family law or Domestic Violence Order or an Apprehended Violence Order (other than an order which was revoked).
Meeting Arrangements: Shoots are held on Saturdays 1.30pm at the club situated on the Old Bourke Road heading towards the Old Reservoir.
