“Cobar Public School was established in 1878 and has been providing a quality education to the children of Cobar for the past 125 years.

Although geographically isolated, Cobar Public School prides itself on being able to offer many opportunities to their students. In addition to instruction in the six key learning areas, some of the opportunities available include participation in Primary School Sports Association knockouts; school choir; dance troupes; Special Religious Education; English, Science, Computer and Mathematics competitions; Outback Festival; school band and the Circus Arts Program. All classes have state of the art technology devices, in particular interactive smart boards.

The school is situated in well-maintained and attractive grounds. It has buildings ranging from the original schoolhouse to refurbished, modern technology centre and a modern, well resourced library.
